Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG seeks a Wastewater Treatment Operator for Cheraw, SC on 2nd shift. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, executing maintenance tasks and supporting startup procedures to prepare machines for operation.

The candidate will analyze technical issues, follow instructions in English, and ensure PPE and safety rules are observed. Strong preference for technical background and experience with complex machinery.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED with extensive field experience.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to operate and understand complex machinery.
• Ability to lift heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install and set up mechanical equipment, machines, tools or parts.
• Contribute to planning of maintenance schedules and execute maintenance assignments.
• Analyze technical issues, complete repairs and track work orders related to electrical systems.
• Execute ramp up, setup and start procedures to prepare machines and equipment for operations.
• Support installation projects on site and assist Industrial Engineers.
• Assist with compliance of technical documentations for processes and equipment.
• Follow safety and production rules and use PPE at all times.
