Job summary

DFAMILK is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician for our wastewater treatment facility in Joplin, MO. You will perform defined treatment processes, monitor equipment, record data, and follow SOPs under moderate supervision.

The role emphasizes safety and regulatory compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement using Lean tools. Requires 1–3 years of wastewater exposure, a high school diploma, English literacy, and general maintenance abilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems.
• General microbiological and chemistry skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions to detect malfunctions.
• Maintain chemical levels, adjust and disinfect water and other liquids.
• Record data and meter readings at defined frequencies.
• Perform COD, TSS, and other analyses on daily samples.
• Assist with maintenance and lubrication of wastewater equipment.
