Job summary

ClearWater Solutions, LLC is seeking a Plant Operator responsible for the successful maintenance and operation of a wastewater treatment facility. The role includes sampling, testing, and daily plant checks to ensure compliance with all regulations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a state wastewater operator certification, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend and on-call availability is required as part of operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a state-issued wastewater operator certification.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records required.
• Experience within a water/wastewater treatment environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be available to work weekends and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate wastewater treatment plant to comply with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.
• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with regulations.
• Operate sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of sewage.
• Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance of plant equipment and perform repairs of machinery and equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret meters and gauges that monitor the purification process and operation.
• Collects and records data for record maintenance and reporting.
• Performs facility grounds maintenance including cleaning equipment and tanks.
• Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning, and other typical landscape maintenance tasks.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
