Job summary

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH in LaPlace, LA is seeking a Full Time Manual Labor role to operate wastewater treatment plants and related equipment.

The position requires a valid Louisiana driver’s license and LDH certifications or progress toward them, with training provided as a Trainee if needed. Starting salary is contingent on certification level and experience; excellent benefits include up to 85% employer-paid premiums for health insurance and 100% employer-paid premiums for dental and life

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; aptitude for learning technical, chemical and mechanical systems.
• LDH Wastewater Certification preferred (Class 1-4).
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plants, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of wastewater and sludge management.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
