ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH in LaPlace, LA is hiring a Wastewater Service Tech to perform maintenance on the parish's wastewater systems, including lines and lift stations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid LA driver's license.

You must obtain an LDH Wastewater Collections Class I Certification within 18 months of appointment; overtime, standby, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must attain LDH Class I Certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks related to Parish wastewater systems.
• Maintains wastewater collection lines and lift stations.
• Repairs inspection holes, access covers, and collection pipes.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as assigned.
