A leading company in wastewater management seeks a Wastewater Operator to manage treatment processes and equipment. The role involves on-the-job training, monitoring operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to obtain necessary EPA certifications.
Trains and acquires general knowledge of wastewater plant operations through various training components including on-the-job training, classroom, training manuals/books, standard operating procedures, best practices, etc. Under general supervision, performs diversified duties and skilled work in the operation of physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and pump stations. Performs related work as required.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
All diplomas, licenses, and credentials must be on file before the bidding deadline.
Must complete 6,000 hours of relevant training within 36 months (or 2,000 hours within 12 months if entering with a Class II Operator Certificate or higher).
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, kneeling, handling, feeling, hearing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, fingering, and talking. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Must meet visual and hearing requirements and be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions while wearing PPE.
