Operator I offers an automatic move to Operator II after meeting experience qualifications. Operator I requires a high school diploma, Missouri D license within 12 months, and a Missouri B CDL with endorsements within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Missouri Class D Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License within 12 months of hire.
• Missouri Class B CDL with required endorsement within 6 months of hire.
• Meets all Operator I requirements.
• Two years of qualifying wastewater treatment experience.
• Missouri Class C Wastewater Treatment Operators License.
• Missouri Class B CDL with required endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains and cleans the plant and associated equipment.
• Operates UV disinfection, sludge dewatering, and land application equipment.
• Assists maintenance staff with pump stations and on-call rotation after training.
• Operates heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintains treatment plant grounds and facilities.
• Evaluates water quality, conducts process control tests, and collects samples (Operator II).
• Leads small plant improvement projects, handles paperwork, maintains inventory, and fills in for Supervisor when needed (Operator II).

Education

Missouri Class D Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License (within 12 months)

Missouri Class B CDL with required endorsements (within 6 months)

Missouri Class C Wastewater Treatment Operators License
