Job summary

Carpinteria Sanitary District in Carpinteria, CA is seeking a motivated Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Grade 3 or 4) to join the District’s Wastewater Operations department.

Responsibilities include monitoring plant processes, maintaining and repairing equipment, performing routine laboratory tests, and being available for periodic on‑call duty; qualifications include a valid California driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification at

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification from the State Water Resources Control Board at a level commensurate with the position.
• Advanced Water Treatment (AWT) Operator certification through CA-NV AWWA and CWEA preferred.
