Job summary

Medina Co is seeking a hands-on wastewater operator to ensure safe, compliant operation of the community's treatment plant. You will monitor systems, perform maintenance, and support compliance with OEPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record and proof of insurance.
• Ability to obtain OEPA Class I Wastewater Operator License within 2 years (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems (lift stations, screening equipment, primary/secondary/tertiary processes).
• Adjust flows and process controls for efficient, compliant plant operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment.
• Conduct daily water quality testing and collect/ analyze samples for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate operation logs and prepare daily/monthly reports.
