City of Northampton is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to operate, maintain and repair the City's wastewater treatment plant and related pumping facilities. Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.

• Associate's Degree in science or related field with 1–3 years of plant operation experience.
• Valid driver's license required; other licenses after hire per union contract.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Operates and maintains the Wastewater Treatment Plant and related pumping facilities.
• Checks equipment and instrumentation; makes control adjustments as needed.
• Maintains inventory of chemicals and supplies.
• Collects samples and performs laboratory analyses; keeps records.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Trains new operators and adheres to safety regulations.
