Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Mechanical Maint & Operations Consultant for the Kentucky Department of Parks in Frankfort. The role covers wastewater plant operations, collections systems, and related infrastructure, with responsibilities in project oversight and regulatory compliance.

The position requires five years’ experience in relevant maintenance or repair fields and a level of proficiency in MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Five years' experience in maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Formal training can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance projects for wastewater treatment, collection systems, and related components.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and project schedules for repairs and replacement.
• Provide project status updates and utilize Excel/FM Works for tracking.
• Provide technical directions/training to ensure compliance with WW permit requirements, plant operations, testing, and regulatory reporting.
