Job summary

Synagro Technologies, Inc. in Honolulu, HI is seeking a plant maintenance technician to inspect, maintain, and control process equipment throughout the plant.

You will perform preventative, corrective, and emergency mechanical maintenance under the Plant Manager to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 2–4 years’ experience as an operator in wastewater or other process plants.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years’ experience as an operator in wastewater or process plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and control process equipment and perform mechanical maintenance throughout the plant.
• Apply to regulations to ensure safe, reliable operation and permit compliance.
• Perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on equipment under Plant Manager supervision.
• Document problems and resolutions and report to Plant Manager.
• Maintain records of plant operations and ensure permit compliance and high-quality output.
• Perform fire guard duty and confined space watch.
• Participate in training and perform general duties to ensure safe operations.
