Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Wastewater Operator in Training to learn operating machinery, pumps, and related equipment within water and wastewater facilities. The role includes routine testing, process documentation, and responding to after-hours emergencies.

Required is a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license is preferred, with the ability to obtain water/wastewater licenses within a year. Microsoft Office skills are useful for reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow SOPs and instructions.
• Willing to learn and obtain required operator licenses.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses and disinfection equipment.
• Conducts routine testing, monitoring and basic laboratory analyses of water/wastewater processes.
• Documents treatment processes and plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and instrumentation.
• Keeps facilities clean, neat and secure and provides customer service when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports safety compliance.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings and on-call.
