Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, disinfection systems, and related machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, sampling, and monitoring of treatment processes.
• Perform basic laboratory analyses and record operational data.
• Monitor plant performance, including flow rates, chemical usage, dosage levels, and equipment operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on treatment equipment.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Respond to after-hours callouts and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
• Ensure facilities remain safe, clean, secure, and compliant with regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and stakeholders.
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous wastewater treatment, water treatment, utility, industrial, maintenance, or mechanical experience
• Wastewater Operator License or certification
• CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
• Completion of water or wastewater treatment coursework
• Experience with pumps, motors, electrical equipment, instrumentation, or process controls

Schedule Requirements

This position supports a 24/7 operation. Candidates must be willing to work:

• Day, evening, or night shifts
• Weekends and holidays
• Overtime as needed
• On‑call rotations and emergency response assignments

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50-60 pounds
• Load, unload, and move equipment and tools
• Walk extensively throughout the facility
• Climb stairs, ladders, and elevated platforms
• Work in confined spaces and various weather conditions
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods
