Job summary

San Jacinto River Authority seeks a Wastewater Utility Operator for the Woodlands Division, The Woodlands, TX. The role involves operating wastewater collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal systems in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities include using the EAM system, reviewing maintenance records, analyzing SCADA data, and performing routine field and laboratory testing to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in the operations and maintenance of wastewater systems.
• A minimum of a TCEQ Class C Wastewater Operator and/or Class C Groundwater Operator license is required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal systems in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner.
• Utilize the EAM maintenance management system for work orders, inventory control, and maintenance documentation.
• Evaluate system pressures and equipment operation using SCADA data; advise on process adjustments.
• Perform general manual labor, cleaning, and routine maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Perform field and laboratory sampling and testing for process and disinfection adjustments.
• Track inventory and order chemicals and supplies for plant operations.
• Follow safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
• Participate in on-call rotations for water and wastewater systems as required.
