Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wastewater Operator in Training in Key West, FL. Under supervision, you will learn to operate wastewater treatment processes, collect samples, and maintain plant records while working toward an entry-level operator certification.

You will perform routine inspections, assist maintenance, and document tasks in the maintenance system. A high school diploma and a Florida Class C license within a year are required, along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain Florida Class C Wastewater Operator License within one year.

Responsibilities

• Operates valves and gates and controls pumps to manage flow and treatment.
• Collects process samples and logs data.
• Performs process control sampling and analyses.
• Maintains daily operation records and plant check sheets.
• Cleans equipment and assists with maintenance tasks.
• Writes and updates work orders in the maintenance system.

Education
