Job summary

Nexus Water Group’s South Carolina team is seeking a dependable Wastewater Operator to maintain and operate water and wastewater treatment facilities in accordance with city, state, and federal guidelines. This field-based role supports the operation of treatment facilities, conducts routine testing, adjusts chemicals, and responds to service calls to ensure compliance and reliable service for communities.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of wastewater experience or work in a utility.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required; state certifications preferred.
• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water/wastewater facilities per guidelines.
• Performs daily analyses of effluent; adjusts to meet permit limits.
• Adjusts chemical treatment to meet water quality standards.
• Assists with water/wastewater line repairs and installations as directed.
• Inspects pumps, motors, valves, and equipment; troubleshoots issues.
• Responds to customer service calls; documents and closes work orders.
• Performs routine tests and collects data for quality control.
