Job summary

Nexus Water Group's South Carolina Water Utilities team is seeking a Wastewater Operator to join field operations. You will operate and maintain treatment facilities, monitor effluent and adjust processes to stay within permit limits, and support water/wastewater line work as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, be able to obtain SC Biological Wastewater B/C/A licenses, and have 2–3 years of wastewater experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State- or utility-required wastewater licenses may be needed.
• Experience in wastewater operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water/wastewater treatment facilities per guidelines.
• Performs daily effluent analysis and adjusts operations to meet permit limits.
• Adjusts chemical treatment to maintain water quality standards.
• Assists with water/wastewater line repairs and installations.
• Inspects pumps, motors, valves and equipment and troubleshoots issues.
• Responds to customer service calls and documents work orders.
