Job summary

A waste management company located in Browns Summit, North Carolina, seeks a qualified individual to ensure the smooth operation of wastewater treatment equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining hazardous waste disposal systems, conducting inspections, and performing various related tasks. Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory, cross connections and pumps.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates hazardous waste disposal equipment.
• Reports equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Records daily system readings and inspections.
• Performs weed trimming and grass cutting around facility.
• Collects and processes storm water samples.

Skills

Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities

Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and electrical and hydraulic support systems

Knowledge of collection systems including pump stations and regulator stations

Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple responsibilities

Education

Waste Water Treatment Operator certification
