Job summary

Inframark LLC in Johnstown, PA, seeks a Wastewater Operator I to operate and maintain equipment in our wastewater treatment facilities. This union position requires routine testing, process monitoring and after-hours emergency readiness to keep operations running smoothly.

You will document plant performance, daily flow, chemical usage and dosage, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. High school diploma or GED is required; CDL preferred and willingness to work all shifts are

Qualifications

Must obtain water or wastewater certification as required.
Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs.
Knowledge of regulatory rules and standards is essential.
Willing to work all shifts including weekends, holidays and on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

Operates equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment and vehicles.
Conducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells and unit processes.
Documents treatment performance, daily flow, chemical usage and dosages.
Responds to after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and instrumentation.
Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.
Provides customer service when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings and 24-hour on-call.
