Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Wastewater Operator for the day shift (3 days per week, 4 days per week rotating) to control water flows and plant processes. You will operate equipment, run tests, and support the Plant Manager in keeping wastewater systems safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a rendering facility or production.
• Willing to obtain wastewater certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate evaporator and skimmer correctly.
• Manage chemical inventory and dosing in wastewater processes.
• Perform wastewater tests and monitor flow controls.
• Maintain pumps, gearboxes, and DAF equipment.
• Assist maintenance with area projects and safety checks.
• Monitor aerators, mixers, and disinfection systems.
