Job summary

City of Manor seeks an experienced maintenance worker to support daily water system operations, comply with regulations, and perform general maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities include repairing lines, conducting quality tests, reading gauges and meters, and operating a variety of maintenance equipment. On-call duties and potential emergency involvement are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• One year of maintenance/construction experience.
• Must obtain a TCEQ Wastewater Collection Class I License in 6 months.
• Any similar combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair water/wastewater lines and meter boxes.
• Conduct water/wastewater quality tests and record results.
• Read gauges, blueprints, meters, and other metering devices.
• Operate equipment such as tractors, backhoes, loaders and other maintenance tools.
• Perform on-call duties and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Attend City Council and other meetings as directed by Public Works Director.
