Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a minimum Grade 2 California Wastewater Treatment Operator for a project in Victorville, CA. The role requires operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities, with on-site shifts, training, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

On-call stipend and long-term career growth are available to the right candidate. Must hold a valid Grade 2 California WWT license and have 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Valid California Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification.
• Minimum five years of operation/maintenance experience at a water or wastewater facility.
• Proficient with SCADA, MS Word/Excel and maintenance management software.
• High school diploma or equivalent; California driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds; pass background check, drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes and controls.
• Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment and labs.
• Record flow rates, chemical usage and inspections monthly.
• Assist with sampling, testing and process optimization.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and participate in emergencies.
