Job summary

GH Engage in Victorville, CA is seeking a Waste Water Technician to support daily operations at a wastewater treatment plant. You will assist with maintenance, inspections and process control to ensure reliable plant performance and environmental compliance.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, ability to follow procedures, and willingness to work around chemicals and outdoor equipment. Training and overtime opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in wastewater, water treatment, utilities or similar industrial environments.
• Good mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Comfortable troubleshooting pumps, motors and general plant equipment.
• Experience carrying out routine inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to follow operating procedures and complete accurate records.
• Willingness to work around treatment chemicals and outdoor plant areas.
• Flexibility to work different shifts when required.
• Certifications/licenses in wastewater or water treatment are beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of wastewater treatment systems and plant equipment.
• Carry out routine checks and inspections across the facility.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves and related equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and process issues.
• Monitor plant performance via control and monitoring systems.
• Make operational adjustments to maintain effective treatment processes.
• Respond to alarms, faults and changing plant conditions.
• Take water and wastewater samples and conduct basic testing.
• Record plant readings, maintenance activity and operational information.
• Assist with equipment repairs, servicing and general plant maintenance.
• Work safely around chemicals and industrial systems.
• Help maintain reliable plant performance and environmental compliance.
