Qualifications

• This role requires a valid California Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s Certification (Grade 2 or higher).
• Minimum five years of professional experience in operation/maintenance of a water or wastewater facility is desired.
• Proficiency with SCADA, Microsoft Word, Excel, and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate valves, pumps, and automated controls to regulate wastewater flow.
• Monitor plant conditions and perform process control changes to optimize efficiency.
• Perform preventive/corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of flows, chemical usage, and inspections.
• Provide direction and training to less experienced staff.
