Smithfield is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to tend pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators and other equipment used to decontaminate wastewater. You will collect samples, read charts and gauges, and report on process performance to ensure compliant operations in a fast paced plant environment.
Required are a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience and the ability to obtain Nebraska Class I Wastewater and Water licenses within designated timelines.

This position is responsible for tending the pumps and other equipment used to decontaminate wastewater (sewage). Operator is responsible for collecting samples; reading charts and flow meters and gauges to determine equipment malfunctions and performing minor repairs on equipment.
