Job summary

Operators Unlimited is seeking a Wastewater Operations Team Lead to supervise a skilled team and operate wastewater treatment plants within permit limits. You will coordinate scheduling, manage contractors, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in wastewater, a valid wastewater license, and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills to drive continuous improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in the wastewater industry.
2+ years in a supervisor role.
Have an appropriate wastewater license.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Education/Experience:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the wastewater industry required
2+ years in a supervisor role
Have an appropriate wastewater license
Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
Must be able to walk through a large facility
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to work in an environmental setting

Leadership, management, and accountability for designated Wastewater Operations Specialists

Complete quarterly one on ones with team members

Run wastewater treatment plants within permit limits

Support the Director of Operations

Alternate wastewater operations scheduler

Manage wastewater contractors
