Job summary

NCRWA is seeking a laboratory analyst to perform and supervise chemical and biological testing of wastewater and process by-products. The role ensures data accuracy for NPDES reporting and supports plant operations with QA/QC compliance.

The incumbent will manage sampling, chemical testing, and record-keeping while assisting in staff supervision and on-call coverage within a first-shift environment. A related Associate’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of modern analytical laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Ability to perform chemical and biochemical analysis according to state/federal regulations.
• Maintain QA/QC programs and lab certifications.
• Prepare reagents and set up lab apparatus for analyses.
• Ability to interpret results and advise on process control changes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and performs testing and sampling for NPDES parameters.
• Maintains WWTP Lab Certification and QA/QC programs.
• Prepares reports and maintains records per regulatory requirements.
• Analyses results for accuracy, validity and consistency.
• Assists with on-call duties and coverage as needed.
