Job summary

Cordoba Corporation is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support a wastewater project in California. The role will involve designing, reviewing, and installing PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and network configurations for process control, creating instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, and control narratives.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3–5 years of water project experience, familiarity with ISA standards and Honeywell systems, and is willing to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of applicable experience in the design of water projects required.
• Advanced knowledge of instrumentation engineering principles and control systems design required.
• Familiarity with Honeywell control systems preferred.
• Proficiency in creating and reviewing I&C drawings, such as loop diagrams and P&IDs.
• Experience with industry standards like ISA, and familiarity with standards like PSM.
• Good organizational and communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
• Experience with the operation of basic industrial operational systems and industry equipment.
• Willing to travel locally as needed.
• Willing and able to work extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage the design and creation of the new control system.
• Coordinate with Contractors and internal stakeholders to maintain operations of the wastewater treatment plant during field implementation of I&C System.
• Assist with project design, scope of work, and technical meetings.
• Assist in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Plant Operations, and other Project Team Members for delivery of Work compliant to the Contract.
• Review project specifications, time schedules, and costs.
• Support testing, assessing, calibrating, and review modification of instruments and equipment.
• Ensure designs and work adhere to project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
