Job summary

GBA is seeking a Wastewater Collection & Treatment Group Lead in Lenexa, KS (preferred) with consideration for Omaha, NE, Chesterfield, MO, and Austin, TX. You will lead wastewater treatment teams, drive project delivery, and mentor engineers while guiding strategic growth for the practice.

You will partner with municipal clients, influence resource planning, and ensure technical excellence across projects, balancing leadership with hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required or eligible.
• Significant experience leading wastewater treatment and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Experience mentoring engineers and project managers.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support wastewater treatment teams across project delivery, staffing, and technical execution.
• Provide oversight for complex wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
• Support project managers in scope, schedule, and quality; manage client relationships.
• Mentor engineering staff and promote career growth and technical development.
• Collaborate with market and operations on resource planning and team growth.
• Build relationships with municipal clients and industry partners; support business development.
• Uphold engineering standards and delivery practices across offices.
