The client is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to join their team. In this role, you’ll lead the planning, design, and analysis of projects including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.

You’ll serve as a trusted client representative, working with municipalities, utility authorities, and private utility companies across PA.

They are looking for a self-motivated professional who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments, can manage multiple assignments, and is committed to delivering quality solutions on time and within budget.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engineering design and analysis for water/wastewater projects: pipelines, wells, treatment facilities, pumping stations, storage tanks, and more.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and structural layouts.
• Prepare reports, proposals, specifications, and biddable documents.
• Represent the firm to municipalities, utility authorities, and private utilities.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines and budgets.
• Oversee regulatory permitting processes and ensure compliance with NJDEP and other relevant regulations.
• Provide technical support to construction inspection teams.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
• Conduct energy audits and identify system improvement opportunities.
• Proactively identify project risks, develop solutions, and resolve issues effectively.

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in NJ, or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• 8+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of water/wastewater equipment and systems.
• Skilled in interpreting and creating engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
