Job summary

City of Bentonville is hiring a Wastewater Collections Supervisor to lead a crew in maintaining the wastewater collection system. This role requires operating heavy equipment, overseeing safety protocols, and coordinating daily field tasks.

The position supports emergency response and works closely with the Wastewater Utilities team. The successful candidate will manage a crew, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to system maintenance and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 5 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and regulations.
• Experience supervising a small crew and coordinating field operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises 1–5 wastewater collection operators.
• Ensures compliance with City safety policies and regulations.
• Operates heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and CCTV trucks.
• Instructs and assigns tasks to crew members; monitors work quality and timeliness.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment, completes logs, and updates GIS maps.
• Acts as a first responder during city emergencies and coordinates with the Supervisor.
