Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support and lead critical wastewater treatment plant construction projects in Oregon.

The role focuses on organizing field staff, establishing objectives, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. The candidate will interact with clients, A/E contacts, and internal teams, providing leadership to project engineers and superintendents while coordinating procurement and change management.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training/education.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong business orientation with proven judgment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and staff field positions or subordinate project managers.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Monitor and control construction to ensure on-time completion within budget.
• Represent the company in project meetings and labor negotiations/strategy meetings.
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials; support cost forecasting and scheduling.
