Job summary

The City of Port Townsend is hiring for multiple positions in the Wastewater Treatment/Compost division. Positions include Maintenance Worker Apprentice, Maintenance Worker, Operator I, and Operator II. Responsibilities involve overseeing operations and ensuring compliance with various regulations.

Qualifications

• Certified Compost Facility Operator certification or must obtain within 3 years.
• 1+ years experience in wastewater treatment or related field for Maintenance Worker.
• 3+ years experience in wastewater treatment for Operator I.
• 8+ years experience at classification II or higher Wastewater Treatment Plant for Operator II.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks for Wastewater Treatment Plant oversight.
• Supervise operations at Wastewater Treatment Plant and/or Compost Facility.
