Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support wastewater facility operations and regulatory compliance across field sites. You will provide engineering and administrative support for process control, troubleshooting, and permit activities.

The role emphasizes proactive regulatory tracking, technical guidance to field operations, and collaboration with Corporate Engineering to drive economical environmental solutions. Travel to facilities will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience including water/wastewater design, permitting, operation, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental engineering, technical, and administrative support to field operations related to wastewater treatment facilities.
• Provide regulatory guidance to field operations regarding Federal, State and Local environmental laws and regulations.
• Support permits and plans development, maintenance, and renewal of environmental permits.
• Assist capital project development and management for wastewater and related projects in coordination with Corporate Engineering.
• Interact with Environmental Affairs and field management; provide regulatory guidance and technical support.
• Work with consultants, contractors, and regulators to ensure compliance and optimal operations.
