Job summary

The Wastewater Compliance Technician at Darigold's Boise facility will operate the wastewater treatment system and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal discharge permits. They will promptly report any deviations to the Sr. Environmental Compliance Manager.

Open availability and ability to work different shifts are required. Responsibilities include sampling, data analysis, calibration, and collaboration with plant management to optimize pretreatment and prevent upsets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field such as environmental science, wastewater treatment, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline, and/or 5 years of experience in industrial wastewater operations.
• Certification as a Level 1 or Level 2 wastewater operator by the Idaho DOPL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the wastewater treatment system and manage permit-related functions.
• Collect samples and perform laboratory analysis for process control.
• Review data trends, flag anomalies, and report deviations to the Sr. Environmental Compliance Manager.
• Calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure discharge permit compliance.
• Assist with pretreatment evaluations and coordinate with plant management.
