Job summary

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is seeking an Environmental Specialist 3 to ensure compliance within the Water Quality Compliance Unit focusing on NPDES and SDS programs. Key responsibilities include evaluating facility compliance, managing enforcement actions, and conducting investigations on water-quality complaints.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional-level experience in environmental regulation compliance.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Valid Class D driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate compliance status of assigned facilities under NPDES/SDS permits.
• Determine and initiate enforcement actions for non-compliance.
• Negotiate settlement agreements as part of a team.
• Investigate water-quality complaints.
• Act as case manager for enforcement cases.
