Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector in Minnesota to monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance, SWPPP adherence, and restoration obligations. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and on-site inspection routines.

The candidate should have a post-secondary degree in Environmental Science, 5+ years in environmental management and utilities construction, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Environmental Science or related field
• MPCA-approved stormwater training
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Environmental Management, compliance, SWPPP inspection and mitigation planning
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in utilities construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations
• CPESC and CESCL certifications are assets
• Experience related to transmission line construction is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Valid Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on construction activities for compliance with project approvals and permits
• Oversee SWPPP compliance and mitigation measures
• Identify sensitive resources and coordinate with construction teams
• Maintain daily reports documenting compliance status
• Act as liaison with onsite government inspectors
• Provide corrective actions for non-compliance issues
• Coordinate with project personnel for stop-work when needed
• Report restoration and mitigation progress to the project team
