Job summary

HDR is a leading engineering firm delivering water, energy, and transportation solutions from Madison, Wisconsin. The Wastewater BIM Modeler will produce Revit process mechanical drawings, build discipline models, and ensure robust 3D coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.

Based in HDR's Madison office, you will work with licensed engineers to meet project requirements, maintain model health, and support BIM automation using Dynamo, Rhino, and Revit APIs while aligning with information

Qualifications

• Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for modeling, documentation, and parametric family creation.
• Familiarity with Rhino/Grasshopper for computational design is an advantage.
• Experience with 3D coordination tools and BIM workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Producing Revit process mechanical drawings, modelling and documentation for wastewater projects.
• Creating BIM models based on design engineer markups for construction delivery.
• Creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.
• Preparing detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams and documentation based on project requirements.
• Maintaining discipline models by managing project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views and sheets.
• Collaborating with project teams to review, interpret, and integrate engineering markups into BIM deliverables.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards and other information management protocols.
• Using computational design tools like Dynamo and Grasshopper to automate tasks and optimize workflows.
• Performing clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar.
• Producing 2D & 3D CAD drawings as required.
