Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, Inc. in Walnut Creek is seeking a Wastewater Process and AI Engineer blending traditional process engineering with AI/ML, advanced modeling, digital twins, and optimization to improve treatment performance and efficiency.

Working with the Director of Technical Delivery, Innovation and Transformation, you will help develop, test, and implement innovative solutions that move from concept to practical application for utility projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in process engineering or related field.
• Experience with process evaluations and optimizations.
• Willing to pursue BC SMS Framework and competencies.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data, create basis process models and drawings.
• Evaluate existing processes, analyze data and suggest optimizations.
• Lead simple tasks for larger projects under senior staff guidance.
• Develop process models, analyze data to identify trends.
• Troubleshoot facilities, identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Set up experiments, collect data and evaluate technologies for feasibility.
