Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to design and support environmentally focused projects for municipal and federal clients.

You will lead simple process-mechanical elements, size equipment, and coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and controls teams to deliver integrated solutions. The role involves BIM coordination, design documentation, and site observations during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) license required.
• Professional Engineer license in Utah preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in process mechanical engineering or related experience.
• Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of simple process-mechanical elements.
• Lead in preparing simple calculations for piping and equipment.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams to develop solutions for simple design elements.
• Guide BIM professionals for 3D models and contract design documents.
• Review construction phase submittals and respond to contractor inquiries.
• Perform site observations during construction for simple design elements.
