We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to manage and oversee the daily operations of our wastewater treatment facility. The ideal candidate will ensure wastewater is treated efficiently and complies with environmental regulations, with troubleshooting skills and flexibility in daily operations. All training will be provided onsite; no wastewater operator license is needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management: Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes, including meter readings, chemical preparation, preventative maintenance, and cleaning. Adjust chemical dosages and monitor flow rates to maintain optimal treatment conditions. Perform truck-to-tank and tank-to-tank transfers.
2. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, and control panels. Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater treatment and discharge.
4. Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and environmental incidents promptly.
5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and participate in training and safety meetings to foster a safety and compliance culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain TWIC badge.
• Flexibility in hours/schedule based on customer needs.
• Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
