As a Utility Plant Operator, you will perform manual and skilled mechanical work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a boiler plant at SCI Laurel Highlands. In addition to performing these duties, you will oversee and direct inmates assigned to this work crew. Our boiler operations include steam, hot water, chilled water, or electricity. Key job functions include monitoring boiler plant systems and making adjustments to ensure proper operation; keeping accurate records of fuel consumption and steam, hot water, or chilled water production; and recommending changes to procedures or equipment to increase plant efficiency.
