Qualifications

• Current and valid CDL and DOT medical card as required.
• One year of refuse truck driving experience required.
• Experience in the resource recovery industry preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, efficient, safe hauling service along an assigned route.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Learn geography of route and surrounding areas.
• Service trash, recycling, compost and/or mixed waste bins.
• Clean up spills and return bins to proper areas.
• Operate vehicles with public safety as priority.
• Use in-cab electronic routing systems to follow route requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch and route supervisors by radio.
• Follow hazardous waste handling procedures per regulations.
• Report accidents, injuries or maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to safety policies and collaborate with coworkers.
• Participate in trainings to increase skills and service quality.
