Job summary

Reworld is seeking a dependable Transfer Station Operator to support daily operations at our municipal solid waste transfer station in Holliston, MA. You will perform site maintenance, assist with equipment checks, and provide guidance to customers on disposal.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in an OSHA-regulated environment, a high school diploma, and familiarity with heavy equipment. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay, with weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an OSHA-regulated environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical training or trade school certificate is an asset.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, sweepers, or excavators is preferred.
• Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform general site maintenance, including yard work, minor repairs, janitorial tasks, and track cleanup.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment checks
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance and repair tasks as directed
• Provide clear disposal instructions to customers at the tipping floor
• Support compliance by performing inspections in line with state Waste Ban Regulations
• Monitor site safety and ensure all employees and visitors follow PPE requirements
• Complete facility inspections as assigned
• Follow and enforce all Reworld safety policies and procedures
