Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc.'s Global Workplace Solutions unit seeks a Waste Supervisor in Phoenix to oversee the waste planning team and manage waste, recycling and treatment in line with company standards.

You will set performance goals, organize workflow, maintain timekeeping, resolve escalated issues, ensure policy compliance, and lead by example in line with CBRE RISE values to drive positive results for customers and the business.

• Receive escalated complaints and resolve difficult problems.
• Verify adherence to legal and company policies and procedures; complete disciplinary actions if needed.
• Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
• May establish new techniques to ensure the team meets objectives.
• Has a direct impact on team objectives and related teams.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values; help build consensus.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Waste Supervisor, you will oversee the team responsible for the coordination of waste planning efforts. This job is part of the Waste Management job function. They are responsible for the oversight of removal and waste management, recycling, and waste treatment.

What You’ll Do:

• Set the team goals for performance and deadlines. Ensure compliance with the company’s plans and vision. Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
• Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
• Announce important information from upper management to employees.
• Maintain timekeeping and personnel records. Review and approve timecards.
• Receive escalated complaints and resolve difficult problems.
• Verify adherence to legal and company policies and procedures. Complete disciplinary actions if the need arises.
• Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
• May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
• Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
• Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.
