Job summary

The City of Atlanta's Bureau of Solid Waste Services seeks a skilled supervisor to lead Environmental Service Workers on residential routes. You will operate rear loader garbage trucks, ensure safe driving, and coordinate daily tasks with a small crew.

Required are a High school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience operating medium trucks, and a valid Georgia CDL with Class B endorsement. Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as first line supervisor to Environmental Service Workers assigned to truck.
• Operates environmental equipment such as rear loader garbage truck to remove refuse.
• Drives assigned route and performs pre- and post-route inspections.
• Maintains equipment and reports mechanical problems.
• Communicates with supervisors and reports information as needed.
• Operates various trucks and completes maintenance records as required.
