Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more continuously during route.
• Able to work in inclement weather.

• Knowledge of routines for solid waste collection and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Ride on the back of a garbage truck, collecting waste on a designated route.
• Direct the driver when exiting into traffic and backing up; guide other vehicles to the dump area.
• Follow standardized work routines for solid waste collection operations.
• Check vehicle safety, perform minor servicing, report needed repairs.
• Assist the driver during runs and lift 100+ lbs many times daily.
• Work in all weather conditions.
