ABM Industries is seeking a Waste Removal Driver in Austin, TX to safely transport waste and recyclables between facilities. You will operate company vehicles to collect, transport, and dispose of waste in compactors, open-top containers, and other receptacles, while maintaining compliance with safety policies.
The role requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
The Waste Removal Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste and recyclable materials between designated facilities and campuses. This position will operate company vehicles to collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials in designated compactors, open-top containers, front-load containers, and other approved waste receptacles.
$17.00 per hour

Working conditions may require extended periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, stooping, and reaching overhead; climbing stairs or ladders; pushing and pulling equipment or materials; lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds; and working in various physical positions while safely handling equipment, waste, and materials.

To operate a vehicle at the customer’s site, employees must obtain an ABM drivers permit per the ABM Drivers Safety MVR registration program. This policy checks for a valid State ID along with a citation background check, and those with high-risk driving habits will need additional driver education to obtain the permit. Employees who operate company vehicles must consistently meet the requirements of the Facility Vehicle Safety Program.
