Job summary

Augment is hiring a Welder in Macon, GA to support fabrication and repair of heavy-duty waste equipment. You will work on containers, carts, and compactors using MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding techniques, with a focus on safety and quality.

Requirements include at least 2 years of welding or heavy equipment repair experience and a HS diploma or GED. This is a full-time role with weekly pay and opportunities for growth within the industry.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of welding or heavy equipment repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding techniques.
• Able to read prints/schematics and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate containers, compactors, and carts using MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Conduct safety checks and visual inspections before and after repair.
• Operate cutting torches and grinders and shape parts per drawings.
• Document work and parts usage in maintenance system.
• Support field service repairs and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant work area.
• Assist senior welders with heavy repairs and projects.
